Collection: Larimar & Opal

Laimar is a rare blue gem is only found in the Dominican Republic.  Rediscovered in 1974, Miguel Mendez took his young daughter's name, Larissa and the Spanish word for Sea (mar) and formed the name - Larimar.

Blue Fire Opal is a lab-created opal that have the unique inclusions like sand, gypsum, natural host rock ironstone or fine fractures that can be found in natural opals.  These bright blue gems are often paired with Larimar in many jewellery designs.

Both of these blue gemstones are seen in many jewellery stores in the south and remind us of the sparkling water surrounding those tropical islands we love to escape to!
