This vintage necklace features larger free-form sized polished amber beads in a variety of shades. There are honey, cognac and butter shades of amber in this beautiful strand with many of the larger beads showing darker inclusions. Inclusions in amber generally consist of air bubbles, water bubbles and darker bits that could be vegetation or insects that were trapped in the resin when it was liquid - almost 30 million years ago!
This necklace has no metal components being strung and knotted with a plastic amber-colored barrel clasp that has a threaded closure.
The necklace weighs 27.7 grams (amber is very light-weight) and is a little over 18" in length.
Although vintage, this piece is in new, never-been-worn condition and will arrive boxed and ready for gift-giving!
