Marcasite and Seed Pearl Dangle Earrings

These earrings are vintage from the 1980s and the design was inspired by Victorian jewelry (circa 1890s to early 1900s).  Made in Thailand and branded under the LARUS Inc. name which is based in Montreal, Quebec these line of jewelry is made to last a lifetime.

Made using sterling silver, marcasite (grey-silver faceted stones) and white seed pearls, these earrings would be perfect for a bride on their wedding day.  They have posts and push-on butterfly backs.

SIZE:  40mm x 15mm

The quality is impeccable as every pearl and marcasite stone is claw-set.  Seed pearls were found in many Victorian era pieces, as they represented angel tears.  The filigree design is beautiful and intricate.  I suggest using only warm, soapy water to clean, as the pearls are sensitive to chemicals.  Avoid wearing pearls in pools and hot tubs as exposure to chemicals can cause pearls to form a dull, cloudy coating that can be permanent.
