These earrings are called 'climbers' or 'ear curls' and can be worn a couple of different ways.  For pierced ears you can slide them in and let them dangle, with the leaf curled into the face.  You can also slide them in, with the curl facing outward, swivel them up - so they 'climb' up the ear lobe.  Just pinch the long hook against the back of the lobe to secure.  Set with cubic zirconias they have some sparkle and can be a unique earring to wear for those dressy events.
